Testimonials
“MCEG provides a much-needed framework for CIO’s of managed care companies to share experiences and exchange information on topics of current interest. The annual meeting is a great opportunity to discuss important issues in a casual, comfortable environment. And the new monthly web casts provide specific focus on one specific issue each month. Most managed care CIO’s are facing very similar challenges, and being able to discuss these with peers, both at the conference and in between, is of great value.
I was very impressed with the caliber and relevance of the proceedings at the 2005 Annual Forum. I think the meeting was particularly useful because it allowed intimate and candid discussion of the real challenges faced in healthcare IT, as experienced by the executives who are facing these challenges and successfully implementing solutions to them. What separates this exchange from other conferences and seminars is that it fosters collaborative thinking and an open exchange of ideas in a setting that is free of the pressure and bias of vendor representatives. The format, and the thoughtfully prepared slate of topics, made the 2005 Annual Forum one of my most valuable industry meetings this year, and I am looking forward to the 2006 meeting.”

“I just joined MCEG and found my first conference (in Tucson) to be extremely informative. Not knowing exactly what to expect, I had thought the focus would be technical, but I was very pleased with the emphasis on business strategies. Knowing industry trends which require IT support is extremely valuable. The information I received from the conference is already helping my organization in strategic IT planning. I also believe the small size of the group is very conducive to learning and sharing among the members. I was impressed with the representation of plans from across the country, and with the high level of management who attended. I look forward to future conferences and web sessions, and learning how to benefit even more from MCEG.”

“The MCEG Conferences are among the most unique that I have encountered. I attended my first MCEG meeting this year and without doubt it was the best professional exchange that I have experienced. The intimate size of the group led to excellent and open discussions among peers as well as networking opportunities. The presentations from industry experts were a fantastic learning opportunity.”

“Of all the options Healthcare CIO´s have to choose from, the Managed Care Executive Group (MCEG) differentiates itself by providing busy executives a forum to discuss mutual challenges, industry trends and innovative business solutions. The conferences are well designed and balanced providing the right amount of educational and networking opportunities in a short period of time. I find it remarkable that MCEG is able to fit so much into two and a half days.”

“The MCEG conferences have been among the most informative that I have attended in terms of information on technology and trends affecting the health care industry. The conferences provide an excellent opportunity for third party payers to assemble, discuss and exchange views on technology issues that affect the manner in which we provide IT services to our firms. More important, MCEG provides a non-competitive environment in which to have this dialogue to explore alternatives and approaches that are purely technology related. It is one of the few venues in which competitors can provide each other advice and consultation with candor and without the positioning that often occurs in our industry.”

“The MCEG Conferences have been extremely valuable. Education and lively discourse have identified areas where healthcare companies implemented successful solutions to current problems that plague the industry. During highly interactive sessions, the MCEG participants portray a clear understanding of the marketplace, coupled with deep technical and business knowledge. This provides thoughtful discussion about the applicability of technical solutions in a complex environment.”

“MCEG provides an excellent balance of networking opportunities amongst peers, and thought provoking presentations from industry experts. It is not a trade show, or led by vendors, so the discussion is open, honest, and practical. It is one of the most useful, efficient ways to learn what others are trying, what´s working, and what´s not.”

“The Managed Care Executive Group provides the finest networking for managed care CIO’s and COO’s. The audience and topics are geared directly to our industry…timely, visionary, and engaging. With an annual forum of 50-75 executives and ongoing networking discussion opportunities, MCEG, by far, is the best professional organization around!”

“I have participated in the past several years in MCEG because of the insightful health care and IT knowledge I garner for the sessions. The smaller size of the forum and diversity of its members lends to an open and productive exchange of relevant industry information and issues. The informal format of the yearly conference is a very appealing venue in which to network with other colleagues and professionals.”
